So, Momo and I begun discussing art work and what she’d like to see more from me, which was cleaner sketches and finished products. I got to thinking about it, and I understand why this is would be an issue, not just because its good to practice, but for drawing an audience in. An audience isn’t going to want to see unfinished sketches all the time from someone, no matter what the subject is. As well, there should be more dedication and time put into each art work, instead of thinking “Uhg, when is this going to be done with?”

So, this is the product I produced. I wanted to work with the Bull Rock picture because it was already opened up, and I knew I could do so much more with it. While I’m not really satisfied with it (I begun to realize in the beginning that the pose was really wonky and had no weight in it), the line art is crisper then usual, atleast, I hope it is. Momo seemed happy with it, so I maybe I just need to back away from it and return to it tomorrow.

I actually had to force myself to do two pieces yesterday without really stopping, going back and forth to each one, and even though they didn’t come out perfect 100%, I think there was a lesson to be learned in how one can achieve something through their art if they take the time to sit down and study what they’re doing. Often times, in our day and age, we want everything NOW because we’re little speed demons with our fast internet and transportation and other such things. As artists, and as human beings, I think we need to take time to slow down and take a gander at what we’re doing with ourselves. Computers are wonderful tools for art, but if you aren’t taking the time to manipulate it the way you want to make great pieces, then what are you even using it for, you know?
